Blueprint for the Bride of Christ part 8

Have we seen enough evidence yet? How many witnesses do we need in a court of law? Jesus gave us the answer and it is recorded John 8:17. “It is also written in your law 3551 [“specifically of Moses”] that the testimony of two men is true.” We have been given many more than just two witnesses for verification to see that the book deposited in the side of the Ark of the Covenant did not end at the cross. We have heard the voice of seven witness, such as concordances, commentaries, dictionaries, Patriarchs, Prophets and Apostles and number seven, and best of all the words of Christ Himself. “Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is one that accuseth you, even Moses, in whom ye trust. For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed Me: for he wrote of Me. But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe My words? (John 5:45-47) “What is the will of the Father? That we keep His commandments, Christ, to enforce the will of His Father, became the author of the statutes and precepts given through Moses to the people of God. Christians who extol Christ, but array themselves against the law governing the Jewish church, array Christ against Christ.” (RH. May 6, 1875 par. 16.) In the New Testament In the beginning of this study, we learned the Old Testament Hebrew word for law is Torah 8451. But how does this particular word law translate into New Testament Greek? Our answer is found in Hebrews chapter 8, where Paul, talking to the Christians quotes from Jeremiah 31:33 where the word law is Torah. And in Hebrews 8:10 it translates to the Greek word nomos 3551 and is defined as, law “specifically of Moses.” Previously, before this study, we saw the Mosaic Law as the sacrificial system exclusively. But, since the sacrificial laws have ended, all that remains is the statutes 2708, the fine print of our Ketubah covenant agreement, which we are told are statutes that are permanently binding as long as time should last. As we continue we are going to hear the words of Jesus concerning the matter, but first let’s read Hebrews 8:10, and apply the definition we have learned. “For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put My laws [“specifically of Moses”] into their mind, and write them in their hearts; and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people.” (Heb 8:10/Jer 31:33) When the lawyer asked Jesus, “What shall I do to inherit eternal life?” Jesus answered ~ “What is written in the law3551 [“specifically of Moses”] How readest thou?” (Luke 10: 25, 26) Jesus said in Matthew ~ “Think not that I am come to destroy the law3551 [“specifically of Moses”] or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill for verily I say unto you one jot or one title shall in no wise pass from the law3551 [“specifically of Moses”] till all be fulfilled.” (Matt 5:17,18) Never before have we seen this as applying to us. But if we have mistakenly assumed the Mosaic Law ended at the cross, then are we not then also saying, that Jesus came to end the law? But in deed He actually said go read the law “specifically of Moses” for there within ye will find eternal life? Jesus sums up the brides part of the covenant with these words, “Whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law3551 [“specifically of Moses”] and the prophets.” (Matt 7:12)
