CSX GP40-2 #6230 autorack in Blasdell, NY; nice K-5LA
BackThis is the start of the second part of my railroad excursion on August 27. Here in Blasdell, I've caught CSX 6230 going northbound accompanied by some HLCX power! Autorack cars. 6230 gives me a little greeting with the horn perhaps (after the third blast and after I wave to him). Power for the train is CSX GP40-2 6230, HLCX SD40-2 8141, and CSX SD40-2 8305. Taken 8/27/08. And if you think that the crossing gates malfunctioned...you're probably right. Or, it could be that the train slowed down after activation and confused the sensors, but this was happening with every northbound train that day.
