How I process my music version 2 (stage 1)

Back

You may recall that I have a video of how I process my music. I've significantly refined my techniques and I went several steps further. The process is still, generally, quite similar, but there are many enhancements and new elements involved. My process involves 7 real stages, the first, the introduction, doesn't really count as it's not part of the process, but it gives an understanding for those who haven't watched the older video or know my rather odd things I do with music. I've had intentions on possibly releasing the code for this. It may not be optimized and it definitely won't have much use to most anyone else. For some odd reason, YouTube is stating my description (with all parts together) has a problem, but segmenting it doesn't and deleting random parts sometimes causes it to go away, hinting at bug. Stage 1 is the introduction to my music-listening habits, almost the same as before. The one thing I left out, for some unknown reason, was the use of special lap versions. These are often 20 loops of the song, but with loops 5, 10, 15, and 20 being different. I had the system developed back in 1995 or so, a long time ago, originally with Desert Zone. The difference is that "5 laps", as I called them (defined as the loop number that is a multiple of 5, but not a higher order number (and it goes to 10, 20, 50, 100, 200,... (and no, I didn't know much about logarithms back then)), had the best part loop 4 times. "10 laps" had the best part loop 10 times, "20 laps" for 20, and so on. Why 4 instead of 5? Desert Zone involves 2 loops of the best part and it was either 4 or 6. I used the pause button on my tape recorder for this. Today, I have waveform editors available that do far, far better in both quality, seemlessness, and keeping the loop count in order. There's also samplers, very short segments of my top favorite part of the song. Interestingly enough, samplers were used, without knowing it, when I was doing those special lap versions.
