Jeff Samuel @ Fukhouse/Tempo, Toronto (09.06.08) Part 1
BackJeff Samuel, master minimal techno producer, performing an intimate DJ set at one of Toronto's finest techno nooks. His track selection closely mirrored his varied production style, throwing down some groovy, house-minded techno, stripped-down, percussive and funky minimal techno, and a dash of smooth, mellow, and melodic techno. I wasn't able to experience his entire set but I was impressed by his track selection, mixing style and skills. This segment was relatively early in his set and Jeff Samuel seemed to be settling in. He definitely kicked it into a higher gear as the night progressed. A big thank you to Fukhouse and Tempo for organizing a fine night of techno and the friendly party-people for the positive energy.
