Editing Illusions -- The Whip Cut - TUTORIAL

Back

My first tutorial ever! The Whip Cut is a clever way of joining shots together without the audience realizing there's been a cut. This means that you can shoot one actor in one place and another actor in a completely different place and join the two shots together. Difficulty: 1 out of 5 Editing Requirements: Crossfade Text Tutorial: --Start at one place and rapidly move the camera 180 degrees either to the left or right. --Go to the second place and rapidly move the camera 180 degrees in the same direction, ending up on the desired spot. --Cut the two clips in the middle of the "whip cut" and apply a crossfade between them.
